Internship Training Program

The dental internship Program allowing graduates to gain in-depth knowledge of clinical dentistry and its supporting disciplines. This includes training in all major aspects of dentistry: oral diagnosis and oral radiology, periodontics, endodontic, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics (fixed and removable), paedodontics .

  • Provide comprehensive clinical training in all dentistry fields, including hands-on experience using a full range of dental products and instrumentation.
  • Provide a review of the basic science areas of medicine as they pertain to dentistry.
  • Provide clinical and scientific experience through expert stuff (1) During clinical work in dental clinics (2) or through attendance of scientific meetings and continuing discussions.
  • Provide the individual with the opportunity to integrate basic, clinical and behavioral knowledge to the effectively manage their patients.
  • The program helps candidate satisfy the regulations on clinical expertise stipulated by the Tripoli Faculty of dental Surgery.
  • Newly graduated dentists.
  • Dentists required to complete the internship program period.

 

The internship program is a comprehensive dental training of 12 calendar months, enabling the trainees to further develop their clinical skills in the following departments. The program is comprehensive in nature. The trainee must fulfill the pre-prepared clinical requirements according to the plan and vision of the scientific management in the center, within a specific timetable.

Part Two: Clinical program.

After preclinical stage the trainee start the clinical work directly on Pt. under expert supervision and should complete all requirements in each dental department.

  • 10 complete cases of scaling and root planning.
  • 20 teeth extraction
  • Remaining root
  • Complete tooth.
  • Suturing as needed.

 

  • 3 amalgam restoration (with associated pulp management and protection).
  • 7 composite restoration (with associated pulp management and protection).
  • 2 pre-molar teeth.
  • 3 single rooted teeth
  • Conventional and rotary.

 

  • 5 abutments preparation (single or as a bridge)
  • 2 post and core.
  • 2 complete denture
  • 1 acrylic partial denture OR
  • 1 chromium partial denture OR
  • 1 over denture (natural supported) or 1 immediate acrylic denture.
  • Teeth extraction.

  • Cases of fluoride application
