Part intensive training (PIT):

The Part intensive training a program that allows graduates to acquire in-depth knowledge in “one or more” of the specialties of clinical dentistry, according to the department or specialization chosen by the trainee, and includes: diagnostics and radiology, periodontal treatment, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and prosthodontics (fixed and mobile).

  • Provide comprehensive clinical training in all dentistry fields including hands-on experience using a full range of dental products and instrumentation.
  • Allow the trainee to chooses one or more of dental departments without having to register for one of the full packages.
  • Provide a review of the basic science areas of medicine as they pertain to dentistry.
  •  continuing education courses.
  • Provide the individual with the opportunity to integrate basic, clinical and behavioral knowledge to the effectively manage their patients.
  • Newly graduated dentists.
  • Dentists who are discontinued from practicing the dental profession.
  • Dentists wishing to develop their clinical skills and keep pace with new dentistry.

The  program is a quite comprehensive dental training of nearly 3 weeks for the single department, enabling the trainees to further develop their clinical skills in the following specialties.  The trainee must fulfill the pre-prepared clinical requirements in the choosen departments, within a specific timetable.

  2. Clinical procedures to be practiced:
    • Clinical radiographic , diagnostic
    • Conventional root canal therapy.
    • Rotary root canal therapy.

  3. Selection and manipulation of impression trays.
  4. Occlusal analysis and relation.
  5. Try-in and delivery.
  6. Bite registration technique.

After preclinical stage the trainee start the clinical work directly on Pt. under expert supervision and should complete all requirements in each dental department.

10 complete cases of scaling and root planning.

  1. 20 teeth extraction.
    • Remaining root.
    • Complete tooth.
    • Suturing as needed.
  1. 2 amalgam restoration (with associated pulp management and protection).
  2. 5 composite restoration (with associated pulp management and protection).
  1. 2 pre-molar teeth.
  2. 3 single rooted teeth
  3. Conventional and rotary.
  1. 5 abutments preparation (single or as a bridge)
  2. 2 post and core.
